FAQs

What’s the difference between basic tax filing and proactive tax strategy?

Many CPAs focus only on filing your returns accurately. A proactive tax advisor looks ahead, creating strategies throughout the year to reduce your tax liability — especially important for investors and business owners with complex income streams.

Do you have experience working with real estate investors and business owners like me?

Yes. Our firm specializes in working with real estate investors, entrepreneurs, and high-income professionals. We understand the unique deductions, entity structures, and strategies that maximize savings in these areas.

How often will we meet or communicate about my tax situation?

Instead of only talking at tax time, we schedule regular check-ins and advisory sessions. This ensures you don’t miss opportunities and can adjust strategies before year-end, not after it’s too late.

Can you also handle bookkeeping so everything is under one roof?

Yes. We provide full-service bookkeeping alongside tax preparation and advisory. This ensures clean financials, accurate reporting, and a streamlined process that eliminates back-and-forth between multiple providers.

What kind of tax savings can I realistically expect?

Every client’s situation is different, but our process typically helps clients uncover savings through strategies such as entity structuring, real estate tax advantages, retirement planning, and income-shifting strategies. We’ll analyze your current setup to show what’s possible for you.

What is the difference between tax preparation and tax planning?

Tax preparation is filing your returns accurately based on what already happened. Tax planning (or tax strategy) is proactive—using the tax code throughout the year to legally reduce your tax bill through deductions, credits, and strategic structures.

Do I need a CPA who specializes in real estate investing and high-income earners?

Yes. Real estate investors and high earners face unique tax opportunities—like depreciation, cost segregation, entity structuring, and income-shifting. A CPA without this specialization may overlook strategies that could save you thousands each year.
